How should I prepare for my workshop?
Start by clearly outlining your workshop goals and the key takeaways you want participants to leave with. If your workshop requires any special setup, communicate this with the festival organizers ahead of time. Practice your delivery to ensure smooth transitions and a confident presentation. Being well-prepared will help you create a memorable and impactful experience for your participants.
Can I teach multiple workshops during the festival?
Certainly! When applying to teach, you will have the option to submit multiple entries for other workshops you want to share.
Do I need to have prior teaching experience to be an instructor?
It is not required to have prior teaching experience but we do recommend getting some practice instructing before your big debut. Above all, make sure you know your material and have fun!
Do I get paid to be a workshop instructor?
At Flowstorm, we don't pay any staff member, including board members. We do however offer stipends to instructors in certain situations. To review our stipend breakdown, please refer to the application.
What is the selection process for workshop instructors?
Instructor applications are reviewed by board members and are chosen based on how interesting a workshop sounds, overall workshop diversity, skill level diversity, and we give major points for apps that are detailed.
